Where is the love?

First impressions are great huh? Anyways,

I see so many injustices in this world.
We all seem to be drawn to the concept of conflict.
While most of the world may be hateful, there is a small percent, that isn't.
I view that percent as the gems of humanity.

Where is the love?
We dig, and dig.
The hole seems endless.
We ask ourselves, where is it?
It's always been within ourselves, waiting to be unlocked.
Faith in humanity needs to be restored in everyone.

The wars within society always go on.
It always goes on within ourselves.
Fairness and equality are often taken for granted.
Sometimes overlooked.
We do as we're told, not as we understand.
Misunderstandings persist.
Ignorance destroys.
We're all born, consciously clean as a slate.
The things that we take in-
The environment that surrounds us-
Ultimately shapes us, as who we are as an individual.
Products of our environment, we're more often than not. 

There's so many things to be upset about.
So many things to let bother us.
So many things to drag us down.
So many things to let end us.
We need to look past those sorts of things.

Before we can help others, we'd need to help ourselves first.
We all need love.
